During these unprecedented times, we recognize the need to do all we can to ensure the health and safety of our guests and associates. We will continue to closely monitor and follow guidelines from the CDC and local health departments. 

We are also taking standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously and are adding additional steps to surpass the standards set forth for our industry. All our staff have been trained on the proper use and disposal of PPE by a medical expert. We will continue to monitor and adjust our services and offerings based on industry and regulatory directives.

Below are specific areas we are addressing throughout the guest experience within our hotel:


  • All rooms and public spaces are sanitized with a fog machine using a non-toxic, organic, biodegradable, and broad-spectrum disinfectant liquid that is safe on all hard surfaces and harmless to humans and warm-blooded animals.
  • The Ellery’s lobby will be open with staff present from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. Guests arriving outside these hours will be contacted by a hotel associate to arrange a contactless check-in.


  • Staff will sanitize check in items (keys, credit cards) to prevent contact from staff and previous guests.
  • Curbside check in will be the preferred method of check in.
  • Guests may check in at the front desk but will need to observe signage in the lobby regarding social distancing and congregating requirements issued by the State of Massachusetts.
  • Countertops will be wiped after each guest interaction.
  • Registration will be marked for social distancing.

Registration Desk

  • Sanitation services have been added at the registration desk and throughout the property.  
  • Guest rooms will be assigned at every other room on a rotational basis to increase distance between guests. This measure is based on availability and guest requests.
    • Exterior Corridor rooms will be used ONLY, pending occupancy.
  • Staff will inform guests of local dining options and activities in the area that observe social distancing.

Lobby & Corridors

  • The lobby is available between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and guest enjoyment. 
  • The Hotel will focus on having guests stay in exterior corridor rooms to allow for social distancing and additional safety, however, interior rooms are also available.

Guest Rooms

  • Guest rooms will be deep cleaned prior to check in.
  • Each guest room is fogged during the cleaning process.
  • Daily room cleaning will be temporarily suspended, but guests will be provided self-cleaning and sanitization items at the front desk upon request.
    • Guests can request daily service should they want it.
  • For extended stay guests, linen/terry/trash swaps will be provided every fourth day.


  • Guest check out will be available by phone, and receipts will be emailed to reduce congestion at the registration desk.

  • For a full refund, please cancel 24 hours before arrival date.*
  • Guests who booked via online travel agents or other third-party travel professionals are advised to contact their booking provider for information on their policies.
